my gts standard.
u sure your m8s hadnt had a map sometime in its life as standard they only run 5psi ?.
i loved my ibiza so why would i make it out to be slow just to make my gt look good?

They run around 0.6 standard, my leon use to boost around 1.4 bar on the motorway. lol but remap should peak around 1.2ish

1. Starlets are slow as shit standard. Fact. An Ibiza Cupra standard would put in a better time down the 1/4 mile than a standard Starlet. Driven by the same driver.
2. Mazda MPS are awesome cars. I came across one in my Glanza. It absolutely hammered me off the line. Rolling start in 2nd it was dead even all the way (to the speed limit) My Glanza is running about 200bhp.
3. I am looking at getting a 300bhp Ibiza Cupra so are there any common faults etc to look out for?

Easy there, I wouldnt say a starlet is SHIT slow, but yeah, i wouldnt say that fast either.... They are pretty boring nowadays in stock trim....
Okay, well for a 1.3 then no they aren't shit slow. They are nippy enough. They are anything but fast though. I used to think my 106 GTi was fast, but its just nippy aswell - although quicker standard than a standard starlet - all be it they are a 1.6.
Starlets can be made into absolute weapons with money spent in the right places - just like any turbocharged car. They are massively over-rated by some members on here though. Just what you'd expect on an owners club forum though.

For a standard car starlets are definitely not slow, what other cars first designed around 1990 are similar?

Lmao thats an insult to insults. I am not claiming that my 182bhp car is quicker than 300bhp Subaru's and not asking for advice on what to do if I crash into a dude I was racing.
For a standard 1.3 car then no its not slow compared to other 1.3's. Its slower than a standard 1.6 CRX though which was developed around a similar time.
Personally I think standard Starlets are slow.
