air filter relocation potentinal problems?

hello i want to relocate me air filter iv just removed me air con so im good 2 go but im sceptical about wat would happen if it rains badly surly it wud be bad to force water in? has anyone had any problems with this and also on the existing induction pipe there is a tube that goes to the hi/lo boost solenoid wat happens with that? harry

No real draw back except boost creep and if tucked right no water will enter.

Bypass ther hi/lo. I have a relocated air filter to the front and don't have any problems as the intercooler is in front of it. Only thing is tho i need to replace the filter now as it has got a bit rough lookin.

I have just ordered 1of these as i have just got a fmic.looking forward to fitting it.should provide sum awesomely cold air.cant see rain being a problem tbh.
