I'm thinking of relocating my air filter aswell soon, but im a bit concerned about boost creep. If it does creep i'll probs gove the coke can idea a go because i can see the logic in it but if that doesnt work i guess porting the wastegate would be the best idea. Anyone know how big a job this is? Is it something i could do myself or would it be best left to a pro?

Cheers

Hey my filters now located behind the front bumper but the first foot of pipe or so away from the turbo is still the original efi pipe and then silicone hose over the top of it from there. am i right in thinking that even though it wil be better than standard it could still be kinda restrictive due to the size and bad flow properties of the last wee bit of the efi pipe? if so i was thinking of doing this, putting a replacement foam element clamped over the inlet of my turbo and then running a cold air feed from the grill to right on top of it. would that be good and safe? turning boost up to 1bar ish soon so dont want restrictions.

hey? dont get how you've done it mate, but doesnt sound very good at all,

the reason the filter gets located to the front is to remove the restrictions, and people put the filter to the front as there isnt room for a filter anywhere else.

get some pictures up

If I relocate the pod filter and remove the a/c would I still have enough room for the front mount to go in? As I want to put that in later

i relocated my filter on my glanza about a month ago using the toy tunning kit. Most pictures iv seen have the final 90 degree elboe running parralel with the rad but iv position mine so it pointing down at the floow so in a worst case scenario the rain cant get in as rain dont travel up it travels down. i used mesh off my mums sive in the kitchen and so far no problems and the sounds is mint its like a rocket when the turbo spools up. Me and The gurt have renamed it the turkey turbo as it chatters and chirps it sounds mint
