AK91's Blitz K26 Turbo Result

I belive this is the first results of a K26 Turbo on TGTT.com Site

Got back from the R/Road meet at Leeds RS Tuning I made :

196.7 BHP @ 7250 RPM

148 FTLB @ 6250 RPM

Running 0.7 Bar Only

I was Quite suprised at the fueling , cos i was expecting it to be out alot, but its not, its nearly acurate.

im very happy with that result as a low set up

Looking at the graph you are only making 100hp at 5400rpm, that is pretty late.

Not criticizing just reading the graph bud it really does look like a laggy ass turbo at 0.7bar.

Good power figure for 0.70bar ! I think everyone knows a k26 will be laggy!

nice result i have a k26 but i throught it was a k24 when i had it dynoed

yea Its very veRY VERY laggy, But hey i ran a Quater mile in 14.4secs @ .7bar which is still Good.

Very laggy indeed. 5K it starts to make power !

Yep hopefully when its mapped i hope to get it set up right

Once mapped, this thing will be stupid in a straight line!

Everyone knows the K26 is going to be laggy on a 1.3 engine. Should be able to get it down a bit once mapped too, but will still obviously be laggy.

I like the car, looks sweet and soon to be a monster. Made good power..needs more boost!

You will prob find that it will spool alot faster mate once in its efficiency range so yes ultimately once you get it setup to around 1.5 bar you will notice or should notice a difference in spooling times.

I know i keep mentioning efficiency ranges but when dealing with big turbos its all about running them at their capacity in order to get the best results but running it below this its like suffocating them.

I know you will get it mapped again and it will be a monster result i am sure :)

Thanx Gee,

But a K26 is really made for a 5E conversion like u say , people would see better results!

Jsut looking into changing throttle bodies, as people have said it reduces lag time a little

theres a gt should be runing 1.4 bar in the next week or so with a 5efte and a k26 :) it was maxing out the 550s at 1.4 :homer: lol thats real good for .7
