olly i have an alternator, i would look elsewhere before replacing the alternator....

doesnt mean its the alternator mate, just probally one of the belts coming loose, tighten them up, then if that doesnt work buy a new belt, not much from toyota.

also, if you do get a new belt, when fitted, after a while it may start squelling again, this is just the belt stretching into itself
