Christ Cal what is it with you and Cossies? Do like spitting flames though!

i was born to love fords....ok they are....

1.unreliable
2.untrust worthy
3.rotten
4.slow-rs turbo that is
5.expensive

but they

1.keep price
2.drive great
3.legend of a car
4.have a cult status what is huge
5.easily tuneable

i just love every part of sapphires and 3 doors.....i dont know why i do like them lol:rockon::rockon:

certain cossies like the 3 door/RS500, escort cossies. RS200..... they are legindary and i dont think will ever loose to mch in value, just get rarer and rarer.......

quality cars in my opinion.......... Mint RS turbos still go for ££££ too..........

3dr Sierras are way down on price atm.

4x4?no 2wd?you turning soft?2wd's are more reliable....less goes wrong and the breaks are waaayy better

also the RWD saphs are quicker and to 60MPH too dispite the 4WD....

Im a strong beliver anyway that 4WD motors are pointless if they aint got the power to pull... you find they burn the clutch out or bog down when they aint got the power off the line.... But hay thats another discussion.....

how do you actually explain anti lag i mean like how does it work and why etc seems 2 me just like a misfire

from what ive read its done by retarding the ignition. so that when u stop accelerating and the revs start to drop your ecu overrides the spark so that your cyclinder fires when the exhaust valves are open, basically detonation in the exhaust manifold., im not sure of the finer details but i think u need a capable standalone and some sort of add-on map.

this is as far as i know

also to answer "why" i think its to counteract the exaggerated engine braking in a high tuned turbo car as u change gear or slow down.

There was a guy out round my way the other night with a 5 door Sierra Cosworth. Running about 350bhp I think, spat a 4ft flame out of the exhaust on gearchange!! :eek: :cool:

cant get a 5 door....dont you mean a saph?btw he was probs running lean or rich(as most saphs and rs turbos do)and had a flamer kit...if not then he was probs running rich....not hard for flames in a turbo ford loland its VERY easy to get 350bhp from a yb too....most ybs nowadays are stage 3(i.e 310-350 bhp depending on tune)....flames for a rs is easy.....spesh with out any boxes in the exhaust
