My friend is 17, passed his test last friday and has been driving his fully declared modified Glanza V since then (about 150bhp, stripped to about 600kg). He's paying 808 ish 3rd party.
I'm 18 and got a quote for 3rd party with NFU for 750 ish, but I haven't declared mods yet as I don't have the car yet.

Thats real cheap for ur age, when i was 21 i was paying £420 fully comp on my V with NFU mutual. I tried telling people countless time about NFU on here before, but no one seems to follow my advice.

my mate who often drives about illegally reckons he can get insured on his vehicles for silly cheap money. all i can think is he just lies about certain things to get the policy cheap?

most non specialist insurers wont insure you on a car that has had much more than a handful of mods, no matter what age you are.

being honest, I don't believe a word of that, even to the part where it weighs around 600kgs...

and to the OP, yes I had insurance on my first Glanza when I was 18, declared as a Glanza V import, but no modifications, as it was standard when I bought it.

in and around the £1400 mark from quinn direct, but I have a feeling my policy might have been a special circumstance, I was orginally a named driver and my mum as main driver, but she passed away not long after i got the car and I called quinn to see if my insurance was void, they ensured me that I could still drive the car for the rest of the term and they will review my circumstance when It came to renewal, whereby it went down to about £1350 :)

just about every glanza i see for sale says '1.3 on log book so cheap insurance' . pretty widespread ignorance here, they are all 1.3 on the log book as glanza isnt on the computer. unfortunately the myth of insuring whats on the log book is still at large ......

My car is registered as a Glanza V on the logbook and is insured as a Glanza V. Most just arent registered properly which is stupid
