anyone ever used the td04 adaptor plate? what were your experiences?

im still uzing 1 , i had to make up my own down pipe tho , ill see if i can find some picks

I've not used one, but I believe the combination of an adapter and short runner mani, serisouly reduces you top end power on the TD04.

I used 1 with a roadrunner ct9 mild steel manifold then the adaptor plates for the td04 and a home made downpipe.

220bhp and 200lb/ft of torque, with the rolling road print out to prove it!

Ill look for pics, not sure if i have any, i blew that engine up long ago. lol

what boost for that 220bhp?

ive got a speedvision mani, downpipe wont be a problem anymore.
was wondering by experiences or people who used it.

i know of a few members who used this...ted and jay used it...jay used it on his track car

an australian guy used one also...different style adapter though

i have not heard of any problems reported with them,,, as u have an aftermarket ct9 mani alsoready, u should be fine

With the adapter plate the turbo sits a bit lower than it would have.
Does this create any problems,if at all?

where can you buy these from?

aint they really hard to come by as the dude on here that made them has stopped making them.

weejohn used to make them...but as u said he stopped--to my knowledge

maybe drop him a line and see...it cant hurt to find out for sure....he's a cool chap:cool:

dont think weejohn will mind me posting about these. he made them for a while and no problems from anyone i ever heard of. problem was people bought some with not much experience of working with cars and so tortured john about how to fit them when its actually quite simple. so more work than it was worth.

This isnt a great pic but its the only 1 i have, i sold the adaptor plates and manifold when i blew my old engine up but it wouldnt be too hard to make up a set of adaptor plates. I dont have any other pics of the downpipe or the wastegate adaptor plate. The downpipe i used for the adaptor plates i modified again to fit my new WickedEP evolution manifold.

ted...i actually had one of these plates in my hands...i cant possibly understand how someone could have a problem fitting one of these...it baffles me....i mean its so simple:cool:...it can only work one way

and i must admit, the quality of weejohn's plate was TOP:rockon:..and he's a very decent fellow to deal with:cool:
