Nice cars, mate had one, very quick aswell. His was a T-Bar and i think the roof is prone to leaking if you decide to get a T-Bar.

Ouch - chavved to the max but hey im young :D

I've been in a 440bhp one and it was sick. He said only cost about 4000 to get that far...

Is this the right base to mod to that kind of bhp engine wise? I know there are a few. Something to do with MAF and MAP...

first rwd car i drove was a mr2 it was 380 bhp ive never had so much fun in my life. definatley not a widow maker the only down point was giving the key back to my mate. but yea all round good car onoly downfall is any engine work and the negine gerneally has to be droped out to get to but apart from tho go for it u wont get a more responsive car for the money

Brilliant cars, that one you picked though is fully gay.

Get a decent one for much less than that, they are awesome.
Just most mr2 drivers are useless thats why they have a reputation as ditchfinders.

Yep can vouch for useless drivers thats why i sold mine.

Awesome though but feckers to work on ;)

go for the model that best suits your needs and taste never buy a car off someone elses taste as youll never be happy

Nastiest MR2 I think I've ever seen lol :p

The turbos are 245bhp standard so if you do get one, even standard it will be quick. I've never met a t-bar owner that has'nt had leaks! That's why I went for the moonroof.

anyone know about the MAF or MAP for which model etc so can be best tuned?

I want it to be as quick as my 270bhp glanza then take it faster

ditch finders,widow makers:rolleyes:bad drivers give the mr2 a bad name,and if i was you matey i would try and go for a rev3+ great cars!!

A Mk1, with a Mk2 Turbo engine :p

In answer to your question, you are looking for a REV 3+ Mr2 Turbo, the earlier REV 1 and 2 runs an AFM which isn't ideal and also has a different turbo.
