can u run this with jam ecu heard you have to cut into the loom to fit will it affect my jam ecu at all?

are they any good?

heard you can set boost in each gear?

how much would a garage charge to fit and set up?

are they easy to use?

thanks for your help rep to follow, don't know wether to just buy a greddy pro fec spec 2

yes they are v good, i have one but took about 6 months to get on with it. stacks of features but you really dont need them. blitz dual solenoid one would be better
, just set the boost and go.

is the setting boost on each gear uselful i would of thought having it set to 0.7-0.8 in 1st would of been cool

very good for racing as you can keep the boost lower for first gear so you dont get too much wheel spin an work it up too full boost over gears. for normal use mines flat out through all gears lol

im not great with gizmos like these but ive mastered it, the mapper showed me once an it actually sunk in. ive been told the pro specs are naff. but obs peoples opinions vary.

It wont affect the Jam in any way, and you can set it up to run different boost in different gears but it takes a lot of working at to get it right. A tuner would fit it and set it up but not a garage, they do take a bit of working at. Best thing about them is they show boost, reves, speed and even injector duty if you want them to but if you are not prepared to work with it then but the Greddy.

Yes you have to connect some of the ECU sensors to it. It will not affect your ECU in anyway. Its just reading the signals.

are they any good?
They are excellent, professional grade EBCs.

heard you can set boost in each gear?
Yes you can have gear based boost, up to five gears.

are they easy to use?
Not for the faint of heart, or rookie.

Spec2 is nice, simpler, but still requires proper set-up. I also don't agree that you'll not use all the functions. Other than the injector duty cycle, its monitoring functions are beyond most gauges.

thanks for everyones replys hope fully you can help me make my mind up

i phoned the tuners and they said £200 to fit inc set up or £100 for greddy pro fec spec 2 now im kind of confused because the sound of having a low 0.7 0.8 in 1st gear will really help with launching off from the lights and reducing wheel spin, the garage also agreed its complicated to set up he users a greddy in his evo im now stuck between a rock and a hard place as to wether to buy the avcr 2nd hand or buy a brand new greddy pro fec spec 2.

eventualli i want to get a power fc and guess the apexi ebc will work well with it? what do you guys recommend i running a ct9 but have a brand new tongs waiting to be fitted. im a fast road user and have never done a track session in my car although its something im looking into.

so what do you suggest and sorry for the essay lol

Power FC will work with any boost controller, but it also has a boost control kit available for it. As for 1st gear wheel spin, an LSD is what you want to stop that mate, or a slightly less energetic right foot ;)
