Apexi Power Fc Throttle Position Sensor Issue

Hi Guys,
Some time ago i bought a Power FC from a member on here. It's only now that were getting around to fitting and mapping the unit. We are running into an issue with the throttle position sensor. The sensor is showing 1.2volts on the hand commander and will not change from 1.2volts regardless of opening or closing throttle. You'd imagine the sensor is buggered but we changed the sensor and are still have the same issue. Wiring going to the sensor appears to be fine also.

Has anyone encountered a problem like this before? Any help greatly appreciated!!

The tps is on off, you can monitor the on/off on the hand controller, you won't get a variable voltage signal.

I'm using the standard TPS that came on the 4EFTE. I have not yet calibrated the sensor, but with the sensor off of the throttle body in my hand but plugged into it's 3pin plug while i manually adjust the D shaped fitting that sits on the throttle butterfly shaft should i not see an increase/decrease in votlage to 5volts or close to 5 volts?

And all i'm seeing constantly is 1.2 votls. Also when the car is on idle when i dab the throttle short sharp dab on the throttle the car dies slightly before it picks up revs....almost like the car chokes for a second then revs increase, this does not happen when standard ecu is fitted....this is what lead my tuner to the TPS.

I wasn't aware you could adjust the TPS settings on the PFC...can you please tell me more about this please weeJohn as it sounds like the solution to my problem??

You have to make sure the correct version is selected via the FC-Edit software, should say 4E-FTE2 on the settings 1 page. Its hard to measure TPS voltage as well, if you select TPS V in the advanced watch on the FC-Edit software you will be able to see if its changing correctly then.

you look at this on the controller:

with the throttle closed you should see the IDL indicator on as per the picture. as the throttle is just cracked open the indicator goes off. that is the extent of the TPS control.

do you have a copy of the map?
