Apexi Power FC

Where would one search for a EP82?

Is it classed as a full standalone or piggybank ecu as it goes through the stock ecu?

Can it control injector duty via direct control over injectors unlike the E-manage which i hear intercepts the load sensor voltage? And what about ignition control?

All i need for my setup is to control/trim larger injectors for idle, a bit of fuel trimming here and there plus pull abit of timing out for high boost. Would i be better off with a E-Manage ultimate?

Any help/tips from users much appreciated!

when you fit a power fc you remove the old ecu and fit just the power fc.

i love the power fc, but emanage will do what you want!

I'm sure there was a guy on here selling a PFC with the hand commander for an ep82. Was a few weeks back but don't know if it sold.

the apexi pfc is old tech, and for the money its worth getting a different standalone and getting it fitted,

they are good, quite basic by todays standard, but the plus point is they are plug and play with a good base map for ct9 turbo.

the downside is there a bastard to tune, and most tuners hate tuning them, u need to travel far to get someone decent to tune them, i recomend fc tuner (u find him on driftworks)

the newer standalones like omex etc also have better safety features.

They do a good job on ignition and fueling, but they are limited to stock engine controls and boost. No rewiring needed wit them and they work with all the EP sensors and ignition. No launch control, nitrous control or individual coil pack use so if you are going to build a monster best to get something else.

@ weejohn a tuner here in Dublin knows how to set up the individual coil packs on the pfc it does require buying some device for 200 euro not sure what that is

Thanks for the input guys!!

At this moment i jus' wanna control the fueling and ignition. My main concern is fuel consumption, i have 450cc injectors and i was thinking how precisely can the E-manage ultimate deliver fuel when adjusting injector duty. I know the Power FC has a much higher resolution for control of the injectors, but in this climate and after looking at what they go for, the other half will not allow it. I want to achieve the fuel consumption you can get with the stock fuelling system targeting the idle, lean a/f for cruising so all the closed loop control. Is the EMU capable of achieving this with 450cc injectors and stock fuel pressure?
