can this take the place of a fcd? how hard are they to set up?

bud as far as im aware no it wont do the same as a fcd this only allows you change the fuel map slightly if i remember correctly but someone will confirm this

You need to get it setup with a wideband. on a rolling road or live on the road.

well i have just ben reading this http://www.toyotagtturbo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42241&highlight=safc and it seems the general outcome is that it will remove fuel cut but where (in my area) can i get it set up. if i had a wideband can you do it yourself?

if mapped correctly they can, as in essence they do the same as an FCD, i.e modify map sensor voltage readings to the ecu

yeah thats wot i thought. so anyone in devon/cornwall area that can set them up? i will have a wideband in the car if that hels cheers guys

well im pretty sure it wont remove the fc. i had 1 of these and needed an fcd as well. even though it uses the same feed from the map sensor, u need to wire up a fcd after the safc if i remember correctly? u can set it up urself with wideband if ur confident but recommend goin on rollers. advise richard brothers in redroof, cost bout £150 but they have done a few of em with this setup
