Are Standard starlet or ep91 ignition and door Barrels the same as ep82

Anyone know if the ignition and door and boot lock barrels are interchangeable between a standard Starlet or an ep91 and an ep82.


Have an ep82 and I lost the bloody keys but a set of locks has been offered to me from a standard 1.0 starlet and a glanza but I'm unsure if they will work.




Also anyone know how to remove the ignition barrel without having the key in it?

the EP91 and EP82 are different the 91 has a built in immobilizer ring and is a shorter barrel I think but I know it dont fit as I have tried cos a lock set for a uk ep91 SR was £300!! a ep82 set was around £100 so I got the 82 set to try but failed!! but I think all the ep82 are the same and all the ep91 are but there not interchangeable!

You can use the normal irish ep91 barrel on a glanza but it doesnt fit right, best off to get a proper one.

But could I use the barrels from an ep80/81 (irish 1.0 and 1.3 NA starlet) on an ep82?

If you take either a door or boot lock barrel to a locksmith they'll probably be able to cut you a key to fit.

Ep91 locks and ignition barrel are no problem in a Glanza Im using them

I done the same,lost them on a site,probably buried under a house. Took him about an hour before he called me up and it was done.

Thats what I'll be doing, but id be terrified I dropped them somewhere and some scummer got them. Got a full set of ep82 keys and barrels I know the history of so its a bit of peace of mind

Drivers door has the code on it? I was told i just need a code and a chap can cut it? Toyota cant really get replacement import keys

That was my reckoning yep,he said a passenger one wouldn't suffice.

Got a new key cut and all..... also discovered how easy it is to get into the car with the buttons still intact so they will be going.
