Autobahn88 FMIC - fitting & bumper cutting - Advice needed

Hopefully this is the correct section.



^^ Picking up this Autobahn88 Front mount Intercooler on Friday (do all the pipes seem like they're there on the picture?) ^^

Are these hard to fit at all? and could members please post up pictures of how they've cut their bumpers as I'm not sure how I'd like mine - whether to go a bit more 'stealthy' and not cut the slats or cut all the slats out?

There may be a thread showing comparisons but I can't find any.

Advice would be greatly appreciated.

I managed to fit one of these with only having to cut two slight curves from the bottom of the bumper where the pipes enter and exit the intercooler core.

The pipes might stick out a bit from under your bumper unless you have a splitter.

Did you see the intercooler pipes under the car? ideally don't want them sticking out, but I guess this is down to how you fit it too?

They are not too bad! Have a look at my members garage for pics!

You will see the pipes underneath, but a splitter will hide them if you dont like them. Im planning on getting a livesports splitter to cover them up. Dont think it looks that bad at all tho.

Cheers for the replys, the pic's were very helpful from both of you.

I've got a laguna splitter on for now so that'd completely cover up the little bits of the pipe you can see although it's not an excessive amount so it looks absolutely fine.

Are the AB88 coolers worth the money? I'm picking one up, second hand but hasn't been used too much and is in very good condition. Paying a hundred quid for it, which isn't bad at all!

Bargain for £100. The pic in your 1st post looks good condition too mate. All the pipes can be cleaned up anyway.
