Avcr died......?

At the moment i can only reach spring pressure on my ewg, i think the avcr solenoid has died or the main unit has a fault any one had any simillar issues?

Iv had a search on the net and they say the valve clicks when the ignition is switched on or when they have put a direct feed to the solenoid but a new valve hasnt solved thier issue.....

I dont want to buy a Solenoid and find out my main unit is faulty.All my vac lines are in tact etc.
I will attach a multimeter to the wiring harness and set it to duty cycle to see if it reads what its doing tomorrow just wondering if any one has had the same fault?

Sometimes water can get into the pressure sensor. Happened mine. Dried it out, sorted.

i thought of that but its reading the correct pressure and its garaged so hasnt been out in the wet.

Try a manual boost controller to rule out leaks or mechanical issues.

Try spraying so WD40 into the lines to the solenoid and switch the engine on to get it right into the solenoid. It may just have seized up if its been sitting about.
