A roll cage is a specially constructed frame built in (or sometimes around) the cab of a vehicle to protect its occupants from being injured in an accident, particularly in the event of a roll-over. Roll cages are used in nearly all purpose-built racecars, and in most cars modified for racing or not racing. They also help to stiffen the chassis, which is desirable in racing applications.

I also agree with turboflow that this post was just a bit of helpful information for fellow members and not for all to get on there high horses.

Roll cage makes the car alot stiffer and there for handle better thats why i bought a cage. Dont plan on crashing, also dont think starlets are not very safe at all seen a few that have been in accidents and all look a right mess and that they are really only designed have 100bhp and be driven by granies and definetly not designed to be 200bhp+ and driven like most of us. Think i will take my chances on a roll cage over nothing. Might invest in a harness and totally agree with the helmet and harness thing too though because you will get thrown about in the event of anaccident with all that increased regidity but descent bucket seat should protect your head.

Your telling everyone else to get off there high horse, maybe you should considor your own actions.

IIRC, 2 topics youve started and twice you've said it. You should start looking into the sole reason why, than argueing with the facts to start an arguement.

Sky Insurance posted in here, he works for an insurance company thus making him the most intelligent on the topic, yet folk are saying hes wrong? :haha: Cracks me up.

what u on about, i posted sayin that bell cover them, coz like me people want cages and want them on the insurance, some one said bell do them and i just off the cuff said i think they are crap because of how friends have been treated, i never argued and said he was wrong.

oh and by the way u should probs stop having opinions on things now your a trader, i dissagreed with a coment u put so bought parts i was going to get from you from some else, just a heads up

Im a person aswell as a Trader, i have my opinions and im free to voice those opinions. Far as i remember ... Traders were allowed to post there opinions?

Everyone has there opinion like you Owen and i cant prevent you agreeing, disagreeing with my comments. Id can make you aware, i received alot of Rep from that post. I pleased the majority.

Regardless of being a trader or not, people are allowed to voice an opinion, just like you have done ;)

Well Im with Owen on the Trader bit TBH, I was going to order some parts from you, but I think youll find you "may be pleasing the majority" but there still may well be a minority that aren't, like me :)
Either way, you rarely see the likes of Mr Burwash voicing his strong opinions on things as you'll find that opinions end up with mixed emotions and you'll then end up scaring buisness away, as Owen and I have done.
As said Im not saying you cant have your voice nor am I pretending to be a Moderator, but Its just what I think.


Owen, mate, If I were you I wouldnt bother making anymore helpful threads, you'll only get them turned into off topic arguments, like most forums nowadays LOL

its the biggest flaw of forums. oh and people reading messages wrong.

not a case of dissagreement but making the subject something it is not, this is the second time he has done it, the busy driveway thread and now this one, seems everyone is out to piss on all the others, the ones they arent pissing on they are hanging out of thier arse

you know whaty i see coming, all these serious gimps wearing toyota jackets and hats, also speacial toyota fold up seats for the car stands at show. very similar to the scooby guys just it will sounds more like

(clarksons my cars cars faster than yours voice) ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i drive a toyota dont you know
