Has anyone here ever fitted a 4aGE (or any other tb for that matter) to a stock tps? I want to run a bigger throttle body on my custom made plenum with my emanage blue but dont want to mess about with having to try and run a different tps... Any opinions welcome.

Steve.

The earlier MR2 TB's are identical to the GTti and the TPS is the same - can't answer if they're the same as the 4EFTE's though. I thoght the stock one was large enough?

An alternative would be to send a spare TB to www.maxbore.com - he'll bore it out for you and fit a new butterfly.

stock thottle has common D shape drive for tps. 4age thottle doesnt. i sujest you find a thottle body with the D shaped drive and adapt the stock tps to it. 4age is a proper variable tps where a starlet one is just switch type.

but if your using stock ecu and piggyback, the stock thottle wont be a bottleneck anyway, no point changing it really

5mge Supra throttle bodies are 60mm and use the same swithed TPS - just need to cut off the plug (unless its going on a 2e in which case just bolt over the stock tps) and solder on the 4e one. Making the TB fit is a bit tricky but can be done. I used a 5mge throttle body on the custom inlet I made for an old EP71 Turbo S 2et I had.
