Blocking dump valve good or bad

Hi if i block my dump valve off and put a bolt in the vacuum hose will it affect me turbo. I have herd mixed reviews

I ran a CT9 with no dump valve for a few months, now i run a TD04 with no dump valve. Both were fine and sound great

if you work high turbo pressure it damaging effect turbo.. unbalanced..

ive been running my td04 since june with no BOV, no problems at all, at 1bar boost
