right so sorted out the sheared bolt from my last post.
but it brings me back to the original problem of blow coming from the manifold.
when i took the manifold off last you could see where it was blowing and i assumed it was cause i did not torque all the bolts properly.
since rebuilding the manifold/turbo unit i still have the blow despite the mani/head bolts being torqued to 48Nm.
i have new gaskets all round
- head/manifold
- manifold/turbo
- turbo/decat
yet she still blows!
any ideas? one thought is i bought the manifold second hand (toyosport) and noticed it has cracked between the 2nd and 3rd piston, would this crack cause it not to sit flat and blow as there is no stud/bolt to keep it flush to the block?
thanks
