I done mine last week bud, used longer bolts with washers, cost a couple of quid and did the job fine.
Dunno if that helps

Just for your info, it's a high pressure area, air will not come out from the back of the bonnet.

it worked well when i had a glanza s bonnet on my old glanza before i raised it if i popped the bonnet it would be roasting under there when i raised it up when i parked the car up then you can actually feel all the hot air escaping out the back so its defo worth doing imo

Any sensor readings to prove it? temperature gauges, etc..... coz I tend to agree with Sam! - In my opinion if you want better COOLING in your car invest in an Oil Cooler and put a second fan on the radiator - nothing can beat that - even if you take the whole bonnet off!!!

Mark, I do not doubt your experience and I'm 100% certain that with the car at a standstill you will feel hot air coming out from this new 'vent'. When the car is moving, however, the transition from bonnet to windscreen causes a high pressure area exactly where you're trying to vent air. The result is that air does not escape, in fact air goes into the engine bay but not enough for any appreciable cooling. For venting hot air you want to do what the OEM's do, and place reverse vents like on the Escort Cosworth. Fast moving ar tends to be at a lower pressure than that of a slow moving air (these are the principles that keep aeroplanes up) so when the air goes over these types of vent the slow moving air in the engine bay is literally sucked out and the differece is huge.

All said and done, bonnet raises look as though they should work, but due to the location, they don't.

tbh you only get excess under bonnet heat when driving slow or not moving at all. this is when raising the rear of the bonnet will do a good job as the air will come out of there
