no as boost will leak and is very unaccurate(weak).you will need the actuator to bring the boost up to .85 bar say and then fine tune it to 1bar using the boost controller.however you can run it at a bar without the boost controller by just using the actuator if you were looking to cut corners:p

stock actuator is very weak to be honest
better of getting an uprated actuator imo

u guys serious??
any quality EBC can control boost to 1 bar with a stock actuator.
i used both an old model apexi avcr and the new gen one without any issues, with an almost dead actuator

well a lot of people have had proplems with stock actuator being too weak
to stabilize boost

well i have picked up a HKS EVC 5 for a 100 quid. i was pretty sure i could use it instead of the actuator as the EBC controls boost untill it forces the actuator to close!!!

Well I personally wouldnt run it at 1bar with the standard actuator in place. Instead I would sell the boost controller and buy a Jam actuator or something similiar which is rated to 1bar.

well i am going to set it to 1bar with the boost controller and see how its goes. i was always under the impression that the adjustable actuator was the "cheaper" alternative to get 1 bar rather than a EBC
