boost dropping off around 5000 revs

friend bought a glanza trhe other day, standard bar a 6 speed and fiter and boost gauge.car will boost .6 of a bar all the way to 5000 revs then drop off, my thought was actuator as i cheacked all boost lines and vac lins and tmic pipes, any other ideas what it could be? its a 97 v

Sounds like actuator the standard ones have a weak spring i was told which struggles. But the standard turbo does seem to run out of puff unlike the td04s an hybrids

The standard actuator is weak and will not hold boost very well, get an hks actuator in there, will make a hell of a difference in holding boost

that was my first thought, gona try an old actuator of mine to see it thats it and if so im ordering him a hks one
