Boost issue help!

Finally got my car insured and its now on the road after fitting the engine months ago lol.anyway took it out for what i expected to be a blast but wasnt doing much blasting its only boosting to 4-5psi.i have a manuel boost controller a rspec one i have screwed it in and out and still the same i took the nut out and can see the ball but no spring should i be able to see the spring?.wat else would cause this.also when i was fitting the new engine i kept the turbo on to the downpipe so it hasnt been removed the only thing that has was the actuator and the pipe but am pritty sure av fitted them correct.

You got the boost controller set right. As with mine i have to set the psi and then it makes clickin sounds and have to full trottle 2nd or 3rd to reach max boost and then it saves it for as long as u want.

are you talking about a eletronic one mate?mines is just the basic manuel one under the bonnet.

Is is the brass type one? there should be s spring that drops out when you remove the bolt. To increase boost you screw the bolt in, when i bought mine the other week i had to screw it in a fair few turns before it adjusted the boost.

its the rspec one mate.i think it could be the actuator thats pumped tbh.but i have tryed to screw the boost controller right in and the completely out and still stays at the same boost.

hav u given a good look over for boost leaks in the intake pipe i had a 6mm square hole in alumiman pipe which was rubbin off gearbox bracket she wud only boost .45 bar no mater wot adjustment made on elec boost controller sorry know its an obvious check but symptom s sounds like boost leak
