Boost issue

Hi guys,
Basicly my car should be boosting to 1.8br (set to the boost controller) or a minimum of 1.5br through the spring in the wastegate, but its only boosting to around 1.4br?? I've pressurised the system for boost leaks, none, there was a blow in the manifold to wastegate but fixed that, replaced the diaphram in the wastegate, tryed running unlimeted boost too! None of the above have worked, any help would be great, cheers

also when running those boost levels "flow" becomes of massive importance - what diameter of pipework do you have after the intercooler ??

Yep checked all gaskets and replaced them dude

Well this is the thing when It got mapped it was fine, no flow issues what so ever, the pipework is 76mm so should be fine, and iv had the turbo off and all seems fine visibly, running out of ideas now lol

was the wategate brand new ??

I bought the car with the wastegate on and pretty sure it weren't far from new, and yea I will replace the spring but this still would explain why its not boosting to 1.8?

are you running a standard internally gated turbo?

if so then i suspect the waster gate "penny" is not sealing properly

Have you tried another boost gauge to confirm the pressure reading is correct?

I'm running a greddy profec B boost controller too and that's reading pretty much the same,

The manifolds defintly not cracked, one of the first things I checked

Yea mate, absolutely no movement in it what so ever
