Anyone know the law of driving with no front bumper?

I'm selling my TOM'S front bumper and haven't found a replacement yet but need my car for work.

i dont know the exact law but im confident its illegal, someone asked before I believe, but I may be getting mixed up with no bonnet, as that definatly illegal

i'd say you wouldn't...

the front is covered in sharp edges, not very pedestrian friendly, they wouldn't take too kindly to it.

It's a grey area I had an not with no bumper a guy on here told me to tape up sharp edges with gaffs tape and it'd pass! It did exactly that but then that's an mot !

When i was repairing mine i drove round for 3 days without a bumper luckily i never got pulled.

I phoned the police and they said i shouldn't do it but if necessary you can drive without it but cover any sharp edges and the number plate has to be as far to the front as usual. So i cable tied my number plate to the crash/flymsy panel and used some tape to tape up anything that could hurt anyone in an incident.

Said the police will stop you if they see you.

It will only be temporary until I get a new bumper.

Someone on here must have a standard gt bumper for sale
