Has anyone on here had any experience buying an import from southern Ireland do you need to go through the whole ESVA or is it just a case of MOT register and tax?

Thanks

Yeah thats not a problem mate just that it's under 10 years old so didn't know if it had to go through all the ESVA stuff

That will depend on the car then as there are different rules for eu imports than the likes of jap imports, so it depends if the car was imported into ireland from outside the eu

Cars are sooo much cheaper in Ireland, I've seen DC5s selling for as little as 4-5k, was thinking of buying one and selling it for more over in Scotland.

They really all that bad, someone on ITR put a thread up showing the prices and the differences are amazing.
I guess it would be quite the risk going all the way over for a shitter...
