Hey guys, im looking for a glanza at the moment and when I purchase one im just wondering what mods are the best to do?
Iv been looking at heaps of different websites/forums and they all say to get either a CT9 hybrid or a TD04 turbo but which one would be better for money?
I know for the TD04 you need new injectors, exhaust, boost controller, fmic, fuel pump and ECU aswel?

Anyways im looking for quick acceleration and at this stage, something that just makes the little bugger get up and go because the stock standard CT9 isnt the quickest but how do they react if you tuen up the boost? etc, etc.....
Iv also heard of CT12b? Also whats included in a hybrid setup??:homer:
Just looking for some answers
Cheers guys!! :)

You dnt need as much as u think to go td04 as it would prob cost as much to run a good hybrid ct9 setup... bang for buck you wnt get any better den a td04 setup.

Thanks for that GTwayne! That helped me alot. So you can run quite a bit of boost on the standard CT9 with the right supporting mods.. Then just upgrade to the TD04 at a later date?

You can indeed run more boost with the CT9, just make sure everything is setup correctly and the little turbo will keep a smile on your face...for a while anyway! I'm running a mild CT9 setup just above stock boost on a JAM ECU but I'm changing to the TD04 setup soon. Let us know how you get on in the hunt for a Glanza!

Yeah thanks for that! Yeah currently looking at glanzas atm and I have found one that someone has done a manual conversion with the LSD gearbox so night buy that... How much boost can the little ct9 handle do you know? Also you said you're using a different ECU? How much did that cost you?

Will definitely keep you guys updated :)

CT9 can handle 1 BAR if you have a front mount intercooler!
I would start with the mods like Handling and Brakes - standard are rubbish!!! No point having big power if you can't handle the car and brake... Also some people change the wheels - 15 inch give better everything than 14 inch - standard. Exhaust is a MUST - not sure about your regulations for emissions but I suppose you might need a CAT to pass the MOT of no idea how it's called in NZ. Try to get a free flow exhaust with a sport cat if possible - fantastic performance increase - combined with a downpipe instead of a standard CAT and the Manifold - standard is restricted - so the aftermarket manifold like Zisco will put a smile on your face.

Yeah definitely what brakes would you recommend? Yeah over here you don't have to have a CAT for the MOT (which is called a WOF over here) I have just bought a Glanza and it has LSD, front mount intercooler, HKS BOV, alloy radiator and a few other things so it's on its way already! Oh and it has lowering springs but I would prefer coilovers it's just they are so expensive over here :(
