Best/cheapest/quickest place to get shims from as mine are way out?

talk to mikey iain, he will give you a number of his machine shop and they will do the shimming for you, think they make their own.

if the head is off they brush the top of the valve rod after they take the measurements

Yeah undershims as they are lighter and less chance of splitting with revs and bigger cams.

So the solid lifters rom a yaris are the same size then? Could do that if someone can confirm this? Guess thats going to be pretty expensive tho
