make sure you take the washers off as well cos they can stop the rocker cover coming up if they are old and can get lodged in the thread of the bolts coming up from the head and be careful with the screwdriver if you are planning on using the gasket again!! give it a tap with a rubber mallet as well will help!

Had the same prob with mine, if they aint been off before they are little buggers :) just gentle put a flat blade screwdriver in between the rocker and head and gently twist, try and work around all 4 corners to pull it up as even as you can.

As above make sure the washers are all off the 1st time i ever tried taking mine off i gave up when i was using a pry bar without ever knowing about the washers i was taking chunks out the cover lol.

Also theres a couple of 10mm's holding the loom in place at the back they need to come off also then its just a case of fiddling the little barstool off :)

There is an extended part on the head and rocker cover on the point closest to the offside headlight that you can get a screwdriver or prybar under so you wont damage the gasket.
