Car cut out!!!

I was travelling down the motorway around 120kph and the car slammed on like id hit the limiter but worse and no throttle or anything like that got it on hard shoulder and tried starting it again it backfired really loud so i didnt try it again got it recovered to my mechanic and it started straight away since then been ok.

What could it be?

Electrical fault?
Ignition fault?

sounds like fuel cut.

Its got a HKS FCD fitted and its never done it before running at .8 bar
Fueling has been setup and is spot on fuel pump knocks abit now and again but overall ok
Got a walbro fuel pump not been fitted because it will have to be setup again.

I had similar problems but only when I put my foot down it would cut out then wouldn't start leave it 10mins nd it would start fine... It was the dizzy cap that was broken.. So u could try changing that especially if the problem keeps gettin worse cause mine wouldn't start in the end

Ur car wont need setting up after fitting a new pump
the pump don't determine how much fuel it gets it's the Ecu and injectors that do that
