Aye the old pump was a Sytec, got a shiney new Walbro here, was going to put it in tonight but need a spanner to get the threaded fuel pipe off.

Chris all the spark plugs are brownish in colour, no differences in any of them. A little oil on the threads of cylinder 1 plug but no oil on the tip, prob just the wee seal for the plug.

sytec and warlbro are the same, was the sytec an uprated one?the one you took out?

I bought the Sytec brand new and was led to believe it was uprated, dunno how many litres per hour it was rated to. It was a couple of years old though no more than 10k miles on it, but it is under alot of pressure, so possibly a premature failure, will be able to confirm tomorrow if thats the case.

Fitted the new fuel pump today and headed up to Chris for a fueling check, blasted her in 3rd gear and the car died. AFR was in the 9s.

So the fuel pump was faulty and going by previous maps Chris has, it has been slowly dieing for the last 3-4 months!!!

Unfortunatly we couldn't do any mapping due to wet roads and 3rd gear traction issues.

Thanks everyone for your help!

Nice power for a Legacy! Must be an STI setup in er? I thought Legacys were WRXs

@Auto cheers lad, shes sorted now, chris took fuel out of the map, she was only rich cause over the months additional fuel was added to the map to unknowingly compensate for a lazy pump.

Hope it sorts out the dead spot and jerking I was experiancing at the strip when changing gears.
