Car sounds like a tractor on boost

Hi guys
Just recently got my GT back on the road. I noticed that as soon as i started driving it you get alot of engine noise as in a ticking away like injectors but its fairly loud. I have no loss of power nor do i have any leaks of any kind. I do have a make shift breather on the rocker cover as i took my old pipe off and it shattered into oblivion. So could this pipe be amplifying the sound? Its only a silicone pipe with a clothe covering the end acting as a filter. I did hit fuel cut a few times whilst setting up the actuator so im hoping iv not damaged anything in the process. I know i have a slight blow from cracked decat as i discovered yesterday but that woulnt give me that sort of noise would it?

Believe it or not yes you can get a ticking noise from a cracked exhaust manifold or decat....
Had that before.

as above yes, I also have been hearing the same sound for a while and honestly I don't care that much as it goes away as soon as the metal expands from heat but I'll sure check it when I get the time
