Hi Guys & Gals!

You are probably all familiar with me from the forums, but I thought I would introduce myself as Webmaster of www.jap-imports4u.co.uk.

Im Alan, im 26, and have been deeply into cars since I should have been interested in more suitable things for my age!

I have owned a wide selection of cars, and have tuned them to various degrees from 144bhp 1.6 na's, 192bhp 2l na's to 200+bhp 1.3's & 350bhp 2l turbos, with experience from front wheel drive, rear wheel drive and four wheel drive. I would hope this would give me the ability to advise potential customers to the suitability of a desired vehicle to their driving styles.

I have for this past six years, had an almost deviant interest in the JDM market, and the social mindset and mentality of the Japanese market, which gives me a passion for spreading their (for most part aside from their lust for Wangan C1 action) precarious and careful ways.

With regards to Starlets, and Trevors other lust, Mazda's, I have owned a variety of four from the two brands. I have an understanding to the average consumers needs, and desires from an import. I would hope this would enable me to find and highlight the most need to know areas, without being overwhelming in detail. That said, I am happy to give advice on specifiying a vehicle for given requirements (ie drag, B road, comfort, etc)

My Job here (its not really a job, its too much fun) is to maintain, and update the jap-imports4u website, and to present selected vehicles to you here on TGTT. I think we have got the site fairly finely honed, but expect it to fill out with content over the next few weeks.

I shall soon start to apply a standard format to the listings here on TGTT, and I would be keen to hear from you all, as to whether you think the layout is concise and accurate, or if there are any glaring omissions, please inform me!

As ever, I am always open to learning the needs of the end-user, and should you have any suggestions, issues or queries, PLEASE do not hesitate to contact me here on TGTT, or alternatively at: darrahalan@hotmail.com.

Kind Regards,
Your friend at Jap-imports4u.co.uk

Welcome aboard matey! Some very nice stock you got there!

No offence, but I reckon you could do with a more professional looking site! In my opinion ofcourse!

duely noted.

My web development may lack a little but I am willing to learn more every day. The site is VERY spartan at the moment, as we literally wanted the site functional was soon as possible.

For more of my work visit: HERE

keep an eye on the site, as you will see it grow over time.

should you have any suggestions, I am always willing to listen. We want to make the site as enjoyable as possible.

regards,

Nice work, however I have to agree with Chris. Here's something I threw together quickly which I think looks reasonably professional:

I'm happy to send it over to allow you guys to do the coding work if you want a change of direction, if not then keep working at the current site and I'm sure it will be ace!

I've designed a few sites in the past (had to do one for my degree as well!), would be willing to give it a go out the kindness of my heart! :) Lemme know!

hey guys thats not very nice,

your basically saying good idea but the website is utter wank, i think u should use mine.

this is his venture along with trevor.

i know he said he would like peoples suggestion on improvements, but he also asked to be emailed those thoughts and suggestions.

good luck alan and trevor. it's about time trevor was on internet with a decent site to show off his stock.

Website

Alan kindly offered to do this for me as most of you know i'm completely computer illiterate.I'm chuffed to bits with it and hope it will take my little business to another level.I have invested heavily on a lot of stock and hopefully I shall at last start making some money out of importing. If things don't go well then I can always move into the poor house.

I really need more space.Sods law states that the customer wants to view and test drive the one thats buried in the back, meaning they all have to be shifted to get it out.
move into one of your cars :) you have enough for every day of the week now :)
