Changing td04 compressor to td05

there is alot of play in my td04 turbo up down and in and out.... is this normal?

i can get my hands on a td05 compressor... if i put this on would i have to get it rebalanced?

Chances are you'll need the whole turbo rebuild, the cartridge will need to be replaced so not as easy as just changing over housings and wheels.

You will need a full recon or another turbo.
