Check if IAT sensor is still functioning

Hi guys,

I'm wondering if we can actually check if the IAT sensor is still functioning? I used a digital multimeter to check for resistance - success.

But, when the engine is running and the socket plugged in, I didnt seem to get any resistance. Did i do something wrong? Am i supposed to check with voltage instead when engine is running?

Yes voltage needs to be measured when the engine is running. Its a 5 volt sensor so 5 volts on 1 of the wires and you can work out the output from the other using Ohms law if you know the resistance.

If its the stock item then its pretty shit and slow to change, it basically just reads the manifold temp and not the air temp. Have a look here for an upgrade....
