cigarette lighter

the cig lighter socket in my glanza doesnt work. the fuse blew for the head unit and lighter socket, replaced the fuse and the head unit works but not the lighter. the plug is in the back of it. its getting annoying now cos i cant charge my phone on sat nav. any suggestions? new socket? cheers

cigar lighter not working

hi there mate, pain in the arse init? 1st thing you need to do is get a volt meter set to 20v and test for 12v at the plug on the back of the cigar lighter if you have power replace the socket if not you will have to test the wiring for contuinity (sorry am crap speller) use ohms for this (the omega sign on the volt meter) if you do not have conunity replace the wire. hope all goes ok dude msg me if you get stuck

probably the lighter is what caused the fuse to blow in the first place, and probably went completly dead now.

My suggestion would be to add a power inverter so you can use the house charger, I put one in every car I own
