close ratio gearbox

where I drive I rarely get into 5th and never really get to thrash it through the gears.

is there an alternative gearbox maybe from a 1.0 that I could swap the diff into that might give a closer ratio in gears?

You could swap the final drive shaft for an EP85/95 shaft, that will lower all your ratios. It will mean sitting at 70mph you will see about 3200rpm though.

The GT box is the only one that really deals with the extra turbo torque well, n/a boxes tend to go south after a while so best to change your GT box rather than fit a complete lower spec box.
