Ok allow me to explain this without sounding like a sexual beast lol

now me and the woman share a laptop at home. She is the owner of laptop so i assume the administrator then im just a normal second user however we have different logins and different desktops.

now when i check my history none of the stuff she views appears so the question if say i was to watch a dunno porn or something :/ lol would she be able to see on her desktop what i am viewing even though i delete my history?

Use IE8 private browsing sessions, ensure she has no remote monitoring of your other pc installed.

Then go to tools > options > delete everything you will lose your passwords etc, then set the option delete all cache and history when closing browser.

Yes,internet explorer,also IE9 is out now.
Firefox,chrome,opera etc all have private browsing.

Just use private browsing,I doubt she's using a keylogger to be honest.

Oh and hiding porn... whipped lol

Get Chrome or Firefox, never use Internet Explorer - IE! I doubt she could see your history anyway, unless she would login with your user name. Get another laptop, it's like sharing a car and they're cheap these days.

Visiting porn website will get your laptop infected with bunch of viruses in no time, I hope you do have a decent antivirus.

Do note though on 200 tests on my fibre optic line Firefox and chrome cost me 6md DL!

It's a lot of hard work for porn isn't it...lol. Firefox, and delete history etc. Make sure you use your clean hand when you do delete history lol.

Spend some cash on Avast Internet Security and you will be able to sleep well and don't worry about any viruses -)

Firefox later versions have start private browsing under tools. When you commence a session this way the browsing for this private session will not be recorded in the history but your non private history is still their for later. Browsing prior to using this tool will still show in the address bar ( if you type in part of the address ) so this must be deleted separately out of the system.
Also you can set the recent files folder to be blank by right clicking the start button , then properties , then start menu customise, then recent items uncheck also you can click don't display videos or downloads in the start menu from this menu. Deleting cache and temporary files automatically is also good and for the more savy girlfriend their is a key logger encryptor add on called key scrambler that should stop all but the most sophisticated key loggers.

If you want to stop infections I have been told the best system is clone your system ( some free programs do this ) and launch a virtual computer image and surf the net with that. At the end of the session delete the virtual computer you surfed with. The next version of avast is including a virtual module that uses this idea.

Its a lot of effort setting up a VM for people who don't have it installed just to watch porn.
Just don't download anything,simple's lol

Also AVAST 6 has a built in sandbox,basically a VM type job,nothing inside it can effect your OS

Agreed, Avast 6 looks the way to go but systems older than xp service pack 2 may have to look at a VM clone or similar.
