awell im just saying im my view starlet ep82 are the best build stock engines they dont break as much rods ,,or mybe its the bad tunning efforts,,,skinny rods fuck them in the bin lad get a real set off rods from a gt ,,,isnt that right GV.1

can you login from one of your other accounts and tell us if there is any difference in material used in the two different rods and what testing toyota did to ascertain the tensile strength of both. Or are you just talking unproven rubbish as usual?

good man you know it all......and buy the way lad the shaved piston engine is in the car runs fine getting it mapped with video just for you...as you say ya cant run shaved pistons wicth is bulshit...so when i get it mapped ....we will see whos right and whos wrong....my tdo4 was running 225 bhp its was put on the rr two weeks ago ,,,no emanage have sheet as well to prove...so i have the 1,5 SHAVEDpiston engine in it a week know it runs great alot more power than my tdo4 setup and guess what it hasnt blew up yet ...for someone who knows notting i must know something....not afraid too try it thats the problem.....i will post a good thread up in 2 weeks from today so all can see ..that it did work ...take care......

stock gt rods can easily take more than 200bhp, over 200 wheel actually

show me a thread where I said shaved pistons wouldnt work? I want nor need you to prove anything to me. This site is about healthy discussion. When others gave their opinions on the shaved piston thread you came on with a different username and posted agreeing with yourself.

I think you need to stop posting so much and read a little. You will learn how forums work and how discussions work. They work by everyone having their say and evidence is used to back up what you are saying not another post from yourself under a different username agreeing with yourself.

Personally I dont care if you have a shaved pistons, shaved rods, a shaved head or shaved your balls... you have a bad attitude and need to learn how to use a forum or expect to get shit from members.

this is going no were listen lad,back too your question ,sorry for messing up your thread my fault,,, about your rods just get a new set put them back in ,,,maybe get some forged stuff while you have it apart ,,you wont have to worry about the rods or pistons,,as theres a set in the used parts here on the site for 200 which seems a good deal good luck with it anyway....

A Pulsar has a SR20DET engine, same as a 200sx. But because they had to mount the engine differently they obviously had to develop a new gearbox...which was shit! Why did they let it go to market like that?!

^Shit example tbh lol. But yeah, car manufacturers sometimes do make silly mistakes to save money/lack of development/etc.

correct but the pulsar gtir has stronger internals from factory than the 200sx sr20det, the crank is completly different, journals are wider, stock gtir rods are strong enough for 600bhp (probably the only thing that is strong though :haha: ) stronger pistons aswell. theres other little things aswell that ive forgotten after building 4 of the damn things :haha:

but back in topic, how do we know they havent added something into the metal on the glanza rods to make them stronger?

God Damb it beat me too it, let's put it this way about the only thing that they share is the SR20 title. Everything dan mentioned above plus the block is even slightly different, Oil Sprayers ETC......
