converting from p/s to non p/s

whos done this conversion i ve got both racks here but the non p/s rack shaft looks smaller how have you got round this ?

AFAIK you also need to swap the steering column and column to rack pinion UJ.

Ive got the uj was hopping not to change the column as that mean the dash bar aswell oh well it has to be done
