Coolant Problem

once again im here asking for help

So here's my problem, It seems like my coolant system is pressurizing.

Ive done a compression test came back all good (well I think it did) 176psi on 1 3 4 and 180 on 2.

Ive changed the radiator and thermostat flushed the system out and bled it.

The top hose is hot and the bottom is cold the two going to the heater matrix are hot too and the car is getting hot air.

If you have the radiator cap off the water will rise till it overflows but when you rev the car it gets sucked back down..

Any help folks cars nearly ready for mot and want to get this sorted

Is your expansion bottle filling up but its not sucking it back in ?

ANother test is go for a quick drive on boost, then pop the bonnet and open the expansion bottle up and rev the car high and see if theres any bubbles in there. Keep the tube in the water of course.

If you still unsure after this then get a sniffer test done which they put a chemical in a tube and they open the rad cap up and detects gases. Do this after a boosted drive.

it will do as the water expands. its normal ;)

as long as you dont get the coolant overflowing the coolant bottle and then loosing water in the rad itself i wouldnt worry mate

The car hasnt moved in a while. Just waiting on a few more parts so it can be tested on boost. It just doesnt seem right that water will squirt out if its hot, ill try and get a video..

All cooling systems are pressurised to about 1bar to raise the boiling point of water mate. That why ya have a 1bar radiator cap.

If its not losing water, or overheating, i wouldnt worry much about it.
