Hi

Also the main crank seal cam belt side?

Its a 5e should that make any difference to the oil pump bits :)

Thanks in advance. Matt

This was from a UK Paseo 5E, if your engine was from something else, please say....

Crank seal
90311‑35035 (08/1995 - 03/1996)
90311‑35040 (04/1996 - )

Really need to know the part number of your oil pump for the other info, I also thought there was only 1 ring in them.

Ill get the oil pump number in half hour. there is only one ring as just taken it off.

thanks for the info mate much appreciated. big rush lol

this is because (thoughts please)

when on boost the car is pushing oil out of somewhere on the cam belt side of engine. re sealed sump twice already and there was barely a sign that it was leaking there.

Now what's the chances of it leaking from the head gasket as apposed to the crank seal and oil pump seals? Don't really want to do head gasket unless its completely nessavrry to solve the problem :(

How high up the block is the oil? If its on the head, check the exhaust cam seal behind the belt sprocket. The cap that it fits into has 2 grooves cut into the face that sits on the head, these are oil return grooves and if blocked up they can keep pressure on the seal, causing it to leak, or even pop out.

Easy to check and fix that one as well.
