if u buy a van and can prove you have people working for you ( as you are a subcontractor) they can impose special terms because other peoples jobs are on the line. id go to court, could take up to a year to get there and by then you could maybe have the other points off.

as has already been said mate go to court plead guilty, tell the truth about how you missunderstood the producer time scale and explain you need to be able to drive for work to earn your living. my uncle was done for 120 on the motorway slowing from 140! and got a massive fine and points but kept his licence as he pleaded guilty and explained he needed the car for work and 100+ is normaly an instant ban. so there is hope mate :)

^^^X2. get a letter from employer 2. i got caught at 1 in the morn, coming off a roundabout and hittng a thirty straight at 69 mph. 28 day ban, no points

Hey mate,

i would advise to go to court and if possible have a solicitor.

I got done a few years ago at 69mph in a 30 and was originally charged with Dangerous driving.

Spoke to a solicitor and went to court, pleaded not guilty to the dangerous driving but would accept a reduced charge of reckless driving / speeding.

Ended up in court on 3 more occassions for intermediate diets and pleaded the same way each time, finally went to a "proper" court case which ended with the dangerous driving charge being thrown out, as I agreed to plead guilty to speeding and required my license for my job and to have access to my daughter, the judge gave me 5 points and a £200 fine.

how much did you pay for a solicitor?

i would deffinatly go to court and also ask them for the calibration certificate, as the equipment has to be calibrated all the time if they dont have this there stuffed usually?

Bruv last year i got caught doing 79mph on a 30 road racing another glanza, im not proud of it and it was stupid so dont start any shit about 'well you deserve it' bla bla. Anyways i went to court and told them i made a mistake and ive never been in trouble with the police before. I got a £90 fine and was disqualified for 28 days:haha: No points though!

Please can you explain the relevance to this thread your post has?

What you said has absolutley nothing to do with the thread. Im sure he knows it wasnt right, hes seeking advice, not parental guidance.

I think the above is part of the reason my charge was reduced, the police couldn't prove that the gun i was caught with was fully calibrated at the time..... might be worth while asking???
