Crank pulley unbalance?

when i took my pulley for the crank i chipped i bit of the inner side wall of the pully about 1/3 of the way around off .do you guys thinks that it is now unbalance? should i get a new one like this

only asking cos my going to be building my new forged engine up soon and dont want to reck the main bearings.......cheers

Its pretty common for the edge to chip or break off when they are being removed at some time, it will not affect the balance of the crank any worrying amount.

There are cheaper versions of those crank pulleys about if you are thinking of changing, but the standard one is a harmonic ballancer where as the billet ones are not. There is a version of the pulley that was fitted to some Corollas and import Starlets that is standand, balanced and lighter weight by about 30%, here is a pic

But it is still prone to chips lol
