you have to stop the crank from moving to be able to remove the bolt! i work for a toyota dealership so i managed to get the special tool to do so. But i stoped the crank from moving by jamming a screw drive in between the crank and block, but i had a goosed crank so any damage made i wernt bothered bout.

Seems a bit brutal but!Make sure you cannot start the car! disconnect king lead EFI fuse whatever it takes.Get your rachet and put a bar on the end and put it on the bolt.leave it about six inches off the ground facing towards the front of the car.Crank the engine over and the force of the starter against the ground should crack the nut.Just be careful with it and again make sure the car isnt starting cause if it does you could do serious damage:)
Hope this helps not too good at explaining stuff:p

so u dont have to remove any of the sump i bent back the bottom of the flywheel cover therefore revealing the bottom of the flywheel and jammed a large screwdriver in there against the bell housing and put it in gear held it well and no damage was caused.

I got a pulley holder tool.

2 pins that slot into the holes in the pulley and it holds it while you give it some with my torq wrench.

Wait until you have to remove it, thats fun!

Presuming that the cambelt is on of course, some people may put me down for this, but the only time I took it off with turboflow was when we was rebuilding, so.....
Take a large spanner and on the cams there is a hexagonal part where you can put the wrench hold that straight up as if you let it rest on the head it may bend/dent as it is only ali..... then undone it.... Or you could just buy the right tool :p
