Crankshaft Balancing

Hi, i have a 5e crank that has to be oversized. i brought it to a machine shop and they measured a clearance of 0.003''. my question is if you bring a crank to 1st oversize do you have to balance the crank if it's done?

No you do not need to, but it is a good idea to at least check if it needs balancing

if your doing a rebuild i would rebalance the crank anyway, its all part of a good build

Thanks, I'm waiting for my engine bearings. as soon as they are shipped to me I'll send the crank off to the machine shop.
