CT9 Hybrid Smoking?

So Im thinking of buying a CT9 hybrid it is possibly tongs but not sure and it is supposedly smoking maybe the seals are away or somthing. It has little to no shaft play. How easy is it to get a rebuild kit for these? Should I buy the rebuild kit myself and take it to a specialist or just take it to them and let them source parts?

You can buy rebuild kits from ebay for about £30, best off taking it to a specialist, they could also source the parts :)
