ive been talking with a radiator fabricator over here , he's advised me that copper rads are way better than aluminum as for heat exchange properties , but theyve only been discontinued as copper's actually more expensive , how true is this ? and does it rust quicker ??
cheers !

Copper/Aluminium won't rust, rust in the cooling system is from the block.

ahuh , been looking up tech info , it appears that lead welds between copper pipes affect insulation and heat transfer, as opposed to aluminum , which is alot lighter , anymore input ?

Copper transfers a lot more heat that aluminium. Copper also weighs a significant amount more than aluminium. I have a bespoke triple core all copper rad on The Bitch, there are pics-a-plenty in my Members Cars thread.
