Cutting P/S bracket to fit sandwich plate

Is it ok to take a hefty notch out the bracket for the power steering pump to fit my oil filter sandwich plate?
As in it's not going to collapse 50 miles down the road!?

shouldnt need a massive amount taken off it. i did it on a glanza before and i just ground some off it. only take the minimum of metal off and you should be fine.

Is it just two bolts behind the filter housing to take that bracket off?

yes its ok to gind it and yes 2 bolts plus the lower power steering one

I'd have to assume it wouldn't be advised to drive it without that bracket!?
